“What is the INPDUM?”
Founded in 1991 by the African People’s Socialist Party, InPDUM is the leading organization in the struggle for Bread, Peace and Black Power in the 21st Century.

For the last 22 years InPDUM has fought courageously for the African community. We have fought for community control of education while protesting the budget cuts and school closures in our communities.

We have fought for justice for African victims of police brutality such as Sean Bell, Oscar Grant and Oury Jalloh who was burned to death in a police precinct in Germany. We have defended the right for African people to resist colonial oppression, as we did when Lovelle Mixon killed four cops in Oakland, CA in 2009.

It was InPDUM who led the defense of the heroic African youth in London, UK after they set the city ablaze in response to the police murder of Mark Duggan there.

Now located in three continents around the world, INPDUM has always demanded reparations, state power and self government for African people worldwide!  InPDUM knows that the politicians in city hall and the white house will never fight for Black Power to the African community. InPDUM knows that it takes revolutionary organization to protect and defend our own, wherever we may be, whoever we may be.

“Why We Created The Blog”

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) is proud to introduce our official blog. Located at https://inpdumresistance.wordpress.com/  this blog gives InPDUM the ability to provide the people with up to the minute updates on the work being carried out by the numerous branches and committees of our glorious organization.

The InPDUM Resistance Blog features a weekly column from myself entitled “Write to Resist”.  It features dynamic information and promotional membership/recruitment material – including the “Member of the Month”.  In addition, one can get information on how to register for the upcoming INPDUM Convention, scheduled for March 23-24, 2013 in St PEtersburg, FL.   The blog also features the “Pledge of Resistance” sustainable donor program, through which we plan on raising a sizeable amount of our international budget.

The new “INPDUM Resistance’ online blog represents a critical breakthrough in our “online” organizing efforts. In the age of Facebook and YouTube, where all ideas and individuals become equalized, the question of revolutionary organization often becomes secondary to one’s ability to say and promote anything they want to, regardless of whether it contributes to our struggle for liberation or not.

In addition, under Facebook and YouTube, when we do “post” in favor of revolution we not able to do so in a way that advances an organizational strategy to make a revolution.  After all, there has never been a revolution without organization.

Therefore, the goal of InPDUM’s activity online, no matter how sharp our analysis may be, is to mobilize the people to plug in to revolutionary organization and/or support its activities.  Through Facebook the most we can do towards this goal is setting up event pages and posts fliers with the hope that they won’t get taken down or marked as spam.

We understand that Facebook and YouTube are both institutions owned and controlled by the white ruling class. These institutions exist primarily for the purpose of generating profit.  Further, Facebook or YouTube will cooperate with the state, when it becomes politically necessary to do so.

For example, Facebook cooperated with the U.S. imperialist counterinsurgency of the so-called “Arab Spring” of 2011. Various countries shut down the internet and Facebook itself restricted communications capacities in certain areas after it discovered how it was being used by the masses as an organizing tool.

In that same year Blackberry cooperated with the UK government and state to restrict the communication among African youth engaging in the righteous Black August Rebellions which threatened to burn the entire city of London down at one point.

Therefore, it would be politically naive of us to simply expect to be able to accomplish all that we aim to accomplish through Facebook alone. Therefore we created the InPDUM Resistance Blog with the goal of establishing a dual and contending “Facebook” and “YouTube”, through which the African revolution can engage in our own revolutionary discourse, on our own terms, under the leadership of revolutionary organization – as opposed to Mark Zuckerman (or whatever his name is).

Of course, the internet can never and will never serve as a substitute for the streets – for in the final analysis, the internet as a whole is an instrument controlled by the state. At best InPDUM Resistance is the forum through which INPDUM reports on the work that we are doing in the streets of our colonized communities worldwide – from the ghettos of North America to the slums of South Africa. That work will continue, with or without the internet.

However, while the internet is here, we will use it to our advantage to the highest degree possible. For, as it was once said by a great revolutionary of the past, “The capitalist will sell you the rope to hang him with.”

With that said, on behalf of the International Peoples Democratic Uhuru Movement, we present to you: InPDUM Resistance. The “rope” in the hands of the oppressed and exploited African working class.

Uhuru!
