Why should one take the Pledge of African Resistance?

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement is a mass member organization united with the principles of African Internationalism.   We are the mass organization of the African People’s Socialist Party.   We are an organization of organizers on the front lines of organizing our communities to become self determined andto protect and defend our own.

We raise up our Revolutionary National Democratic Program (RNDP) to demand all rights consistent with being a free people, rights which include self-determination and self-government as the highest expression of genuine democracy.   We demand independence in our lifetime.

We realize that everyone cannot be on the frontlines of revolutionary struggle due to the colonial conditions that affect every facet of our lives.   Yet YOU can still do your part by taking the Pledge of African Resistance. When you take the pledge of African Resistance you are…

OAKLAND ON THA MOVE!!

MovieNight_Lumumba_halfThe Oakland Uhuru Movement, has started back, with the installation on Uhuru House Movie Nights, Starting this Friday at 7pm.   Our first movie to be shown will be “LUMUMBA”.  This is but one of several economic development institutions, to come out of Oakland,CA.

Also starting back, is the Community Garden, which will be one of several African community programs, which will be the example of an independent African economy, with the ability to feed ourselves, especially as we see the crisis of this almost dead, white power system, increase by the order of magnitude.  We are excited to open up the “Historic” Uhuru house, that has seen many political actions and campaigns over a 30 year period.  We are more excited that we will bring more Africans into a process, to finally unify and liberate ourselves from this foul, rotten system, that has colonized out people for 500 years too long.

Legalization of Marijuana , A Political Question for the African Community

inpdum pic

There has been a push to legalize recreational marijuana. In fact in Colorado, the recreational marijuana question is, what are the implications on the African community?   If marijuana is legalized then all Africans convicted for possession and or distributing the plant should be overturned.   All evictions due to marijuana possession should be overturned and reparations must be paid to those who were detained and loss wages and welfare benefits due to marijuana possession.   Yet the ruling class is not stating that convictions will be overturned or reparations will be paid. Africans are 4 times likely to be charged and convicted based on the possession of marijuana than white people, yet there is no position stating that these convictions will be overturned.

The International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement (InPDUM) holds up point 49 of its Revolutionary Democratic Program (RNDP).

We demand an end to the public policy of police containment and military occupation of African communities and countries worldwide which are implemented under the guise of war on terror, drugs, gangs, etc.   We demand their replacement with a public policy of economic development through massive capital infusion that would be used to uplift the entire community by supporting existing African businesses, establishing new African businesses, including cooperatives and the overall industrialization of Africa and African communities which promotes the needs and interests of our oppressed and exploited communities, thereby contributing to the general self-reliance of the African community.

To be clear the point is not whether or not marijuana should be legal. The point is that there is a crisis of imperialism.   The ruling class is like a wounded lion licking its wounds and a way to salvage resources is to legalize marijuana.   That way they can capitalize off of the legal sale of marijuana and capitalize off of the 1000s of Africans in jail for marijuana charges!

One day weed is a “gateway” drug now there are medicinal purposes so it is ok to sell and distribute it? Oh wait it is only ok for the government to regulate the sales, distribution and taxes tied to the legalization of marijuana. So how does a “gateway” drug all of a sudden become legalized for recreational use? It just goes to show that the ruling class tailors data and facts about everything to fit their best interest.

We demand the reparations now and the end of the military occupation in all African Communities!
